Back-Room Boy (1942) is a classic British wartime comedy directed by Herbert Mason and produced by Edward Black for Gainsborough Pictures. After his fiancée leaves him due to his obsession with work, Pilbeam is reassigned to a remote lighthouse in the Hebrides to operate a weather station.
