Description: Carnival of Souls is a 1962 American psychological horror film directed by Herk Harvey and written by John Clifford. The story follows Mary Henry (played by Candace Hilligoss), a young woman who, after surviving a car accident, relocates to a new city to start afresh. There, she becomes inexplicably drawn to an abandoned carnival pavilion and begins experiencing unsettling visions of a ghoulish figure (portrayed by director Herk Harvey). As Mary’s grip on reality weakens, she finds herself caught between the world of the living and the dead. Noted for its eerie atmosphere and haunting organ score by Gene Moore, the film has garnered a cult following over the years.
