Tarzan escapes a pit of alligators set by Raglan’s men and frees Ula and Martling, who are captured by natives furious over the idol’s theft. Pedro, a native loyal to Raglan, rigs a lethal rope trap to stop Tarzan, but Nkima’s warning saves him from strangulation.
