George, Allan, and Michael—celebrate Christmas Eve by inviting strangers to dinner, forming bonds that bring love and hope to a young couple, James and Jean. Tragedy strikes when the engineers die in a plane crash, but their spirits linger to guide James, who is tempted by fame and a manipulative starlet, Arlene. As love and redemption intertwine, James is granted a miraculous second chance, and the engineers find peace in the afterlife.
